How can I change the supplier balance without affecting the control account or the general ledger? Problem came from previous years and was corrected in General Ledger.

I receive the following error message: "Beginning field greater then ending field".

We have an outdated version of MRI that closed a period and now will not put any transactions to General Ledger. Does anyone know how to re-open a prior period?
