I am a former user of PhotoImpact XL using an old 2008 computer for many years at home for designer activities for my own website. Recently I'm using a brand new computer with Windows 10.

I've had multiple versions of PhotoImpact over the years and in all of them I have been able to drag an image from a file or desktop into the Photo Impact workspace.
