When I try to send my tax report, the info box tells me I'm not connected to the Internet, although I am connected. What is this?

I get the message "You don't appear to be connected to the Internet. Please connect to your NETGEAR router and try again". I have a Netgear dgn2200 and it is the only program I use to connect.
