How can I recover my data drive?

I had Windows XP and now I have Windows 7 on my laptop. When I installed Windows 7 my drive data was lost. How can I recover this? I tried a lot of software but I can not get my pictures back. Any solution?

Try to use Recuva. It's a recovery application with good scanning filters and results. Download and install the application, select the partition where the files were stored and then select the scan type. If the clusters were overwritten, recovery is practically impossible. All the recoverable items will be listed with a green sign.
