... help someone, but mine wouldn't turn on either. What worked for ... 10 mins, did the hard reset method by holding down power ... and woke up to a dead phone.

my phone was not used for quite a while all i did was take out my sim card and battery plugged it up without the battery and then put everything back in im so happy i figured this out

My phone would randomly turn off and on and finally it wouldnt turn on ... trouble shoot the device. it turned and stayed on im in ... to do the dreaded factory reset. good luck

If the battery runs to zero, try holding down the power button after it has recharged.

I discovered that I needed to hold down the volume UP button and power to get to the reboot screen on my UMX phone.
