The activation pin is actually the pin of the SIM card inserted into modem. You can check it on the card that was issued with your modem. If you have trouble locating it, try to contact the carrier of the SIM card that's attached to the modem. Based on the serial number of the USB modem and your contract they will communicate to you the PIN needed to activate the software to connect to the Internet.
