A DVR would not help at all with this operation. The DVR is used for security purposes. You will have to take advantage of an online video uploading service like Yahoo or Vimeo to upload your video files. Create an account on one of those services and then upload your files. In the upload screen, choose the videos as Unlisted then email them the links to the video. No one will know your links except the ones who already know them. It's the best way to send videos to someone. Vimeo also allows you to protect the videos with a password.
