If you have installed the full software package then the computer should already be configured and ready for scanning. To initiate a scanning procedure, place an item and close the cover then press the scanning button. Make sure that during this time the device is connected to the PC. When you press the button, the device should start scanning. At the end of the process, the computer should start the software automatically that will give you the possibility to save the scanned item.
If you still have issues, try installing the correct driver for your operating system. Make sure to properly select the correct version of Windows installed in your computer.
