It seems that TATA Photon Plus wasn't developed to run on Windows 8. This might be the reason why you can't connect to the Internet. However, try checking the blocked programs list of your Windows Firewall (you can find the service under Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall or by searching Windows Firewall in the home screen). The program might be blocked. Also, visit the official website of the developer and download the latest driver / firmware for your device. The problem might be fixed.
