There is no use to open the back cover of your tablet because you have access to all the additional features of the tablet from the bottom of it (insert SD card, SIM card, headphones jack and so on). If you recently bought the device, and it doesn't work properly, it's advised to go back to the reseller. This is forced by the warranty certificate to check the device's functionality and to provide support for it as well. There is no use to try to fix it by yourself.
