Counting particles with OMAX ToupView

Question

How can I use "Count" within the Omax ToupView software? I'm trying to make the software count the number of particles within the image. Problem is that it doesn't count everything I'm interested in. I'm sure there is a way to specify a certain intensity or size range to count, but I don't know how to set this. I see a parameter menu, but I don't understand how to use it. There is nothing in the manual. Can you help? I have used Image J and other software to analysis images, but using the software that came with the microscope camera would be nice.

After you select Count from the Plugin menu, select Parameter from Settings. After that, specify the minimum and maxim size of the particle, the minimum and maxim area, the perimeter and click OK:

The software will count all the particles within the range specified by you. Once the counting process is complete, select Show All Results In Image from Settings. If you have problems, I recommend that you contact the developers and ask for futher instructions.
