Problems with the 3ivx application.

I recently downloaded 3ivx v505.1 to decode .avi movies and I installed it on my computer. However, this program will not open the .avi videos. I can open the video in QuickTime 10.0, but I have no sound. What can I do?

If you want to decode your .avi movies, I recommend you use DivX Doctor II provided by 3iVX instead of 3ivx v505.1 application. As you can see on the official web page, DivX Doctor II will enable you to play the video smoothly and will fix the audio problems of the AVI format. From what it seems, the 3ivx application is designed only for MPEG files. I recommend you contact the developers for further details.
