I installed Quicktime player but when I tried to open it, a dialog box asking to install Apple Application Support appears. What should I do?

Quick time, is a good tool for video viewing, however, it does take up a lot of space along with the Apple product package.

I am facing this trouble myself, hence I have installed the Quick Time standalone, which does not require any Apple product package to be installed.

The component is a must-have for your Apple products. It is needed for the good functionality of the products. Although you choose not to install it you will notice that the main application will cease to work because it needs this component for various operations regarding upgrade, maintenance, cleaning, etc. My advice is to install the Support package because it will not interfere with the good functionality of your software.
