Question

I have Micrografx Windows Draw 6 but I cannot install it on Microsoft Windows 7. Is there a patch available to complete the installation? Your help will be appreciated.

There is a way of getting micrografx draw to work you can keep coreldraw but still be able to use your micrografx windows draw aswell this will help as well if you are doing future hardware upgrades and want to do have a new OS.

There is no update of this application because it was discontinued long time ago. Micrografx was acquired by Corel Corporation. If you want an application that is similar to Windows Draw 6, I recommend checking the Corel products. Corel has its own product called CorelDraw X6.

I use MG Draw on my PC. I had to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro. Now it runs in a simulated Windows XP mode and does fine.If this PC breaks and I am forced to upgrade to Windows 8 I'm hosed.

There is a way of getting it to work without the use of virtual XP this will help as well if you are doing future hardware upgrades and want to do have a new OS

it involves copying and pasting installation files onto the computer to install it from there but the tutorial has the remaining important details necessary for it to run in 64-bit
