When I place a call, sometimes the other person cannot hear me and vice versa. Why?

This is because of the network latency and because of the Internet connection. Since the Internet connection is not stable, there could be something called spikes. When this happens you cannot hear the other person and he can't hear you as well. A good connection and a good configured PC always improves the quality of a call.
