I have a Dell Inspiron N411z laptop. The webcam worked fine initially, but when I started it in Yahoo Messenger, it displayed "No supported webcam". Now, it still shows "No supported webcam" even if I try to open it normally. I couldn't find the installation .exe file in the installation folder of Dell Webcam Center. On the Dell forum, they said that I need to uninstall-reinstall the webcam. What can I do?

I have Dell Inspiron N411z laptop. The webcam worked initially but when I started to do the video chat in Yahoo messenger, it was not working and displayed as if there were no supported webcam. Still, it shows no supported webcam even in normal opening. I couldn't find the installation .exe file in the Dell webcam center installed in the program file to follow the remedial action given on the Dell forum like uninstall-uninstall Skype-install webcam.
Or is there any appropriate way to get back the webcam functioning?

In order to fix the problem, navigate to Dell Download Center, select your operating system and download the latest webcam files. After that, press Windows + Pause/Break key combination and open Device Manager. Expand the Imaging devices list, right-click on the webcam driver and select Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the downloaded package, select the driver and install it following the on-screen instructions. Also, I recommend you update Yahoo Messenger to the latest version. If the issue persists, check the troubleshooting guides provided by Yahoo support team.
