This is just the touchpad software. It was installed to give additional functionality and flexibility to the touchpad device. Removing it also removes additional features that the driver/software offers.
If the software refuses to uninstall, please make use of a uninstalling utility. For this job, you can use Revo Uninstaller. If the application detects the installer as being corrupt, it will automatically force it to uninstall.
