Complete HDD recovery takes time and requires expensive tools. If you want to perform the operation all by yourself, then you can use R-Studio. Download and install the application with the HDD connected to computer. Please notice that if you write additional data over the previous one, it might become impossible to recover it.
Start the application and select the partitions you wish to recover. Use Scan button and select the scanning pattern regarding file types.
