I have just installed Windows 10 on my HP laptop and facing this huge headache. I can't reduce the brightness level. I have already upgraded my display adapters but nothing changed. I have searched a lot on social media and Google, but not found any correct solution. Everybody says Windows 10 has come out with this bug.

This is a known issue with Windows 10. Basically, you have to uninstall the video drivers and then access the Device Manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc) and manually update the driver through the Windows Update. You need to have a working Internet connection in order to download the latest certified updates for you graphics card and then the brightness will work normally.

Make sure you also install the drivers for the Function keys for your device.
