Can you take pictures without sending them in Snapchat?

If I find a picture in my daughter's Galaxy gallery in the Snapchat folder does it mean that it was actually sent? She claims she only took it while in the Snatchat app but didn't send it to anybody.

All the pictures that you take are automatically sent and saved in the Gallery/Album. Snapchat doesn't act as a Camera application, but it does have Camera features meaning you can take pictures to send to others not to store them on the phone. Yes, if you find a picture in the Gallery that is available for Snapchat, then it means it has been sent to another user. Unfortunately, you can't see which user.
