How to know if a person has your number saved on his/her phone?

If a person no longer has my phone number in his phone book, but I have his and I add him on Snapchat, does that mean that only my username comes up not my real name? Just wanting to know why my username came up on his end and not my real name.

If you add the other user, you will appear in his/her phone with your username, not with the real name, however, if your username is also added and the real name is provided on your profile, then that person has the capability of seeing it. What you've explained works only when you're the only one who adds the user and not the other way around.
