If you access the Best Friends list, you will see its name, not the profile username. To check his/her profile name simply keep the finger tapped on its name then go to the available menus. Access the INFO menu and you should be able to check the username used. Most applications allow this but if the username is there, then Snapchat doesn't have support for this feature.
