YOU CAN NOT DO THIS THROUGH THE PHONE APP. Go into the contact app. That should do it.

On the ZTE 817 cleverly hid on the installed app list is a blue dot with a white person icon labled "Contacts".
Tap it and add/subtract, edit, etc. Have
