The cause of your problems is directly influenced by the permissions assigned to your user. If you can't install games and applications, it means that you have a user with limited permissions. Right click the installation package and select Run as Administrator. You will be asked to confirm the installation and if the user isn't an administrator, Windows will prompt you to input the password for an administrator.
