When I click "Refresh download address" in IDM, Notepad is opening.

Question

When I try to click refresh download address, the IDM opens it with Notepad not with a regular web browser therefore I am not able to resume some timed out files or similar problems. Could you help me fix this error?

To fix this issue, open your favorite browser and then go to its configuration settings and force it to become the default browsers that it's started when a URL is accessed. After this process, repeat the step in IDM and it should work. This happened because the URL was associated with Notepad instead of your default browser.

No need to uninstall and reinstall just go to control panel-default programmes-set default programm and find your browser and click set as default ........thats it.........

go to associate and change the .htm file to ur browser
