Why HP Media Smart can't play DVDs? It keeps asking to insert a DVD, when it is already inserted.

try this , run HP Health Check and see if it finds an update to mediasmat , if not try this , open Mediasmart DVD at the bottom of mediasmart look for this * { Settings} and select update , media smart should find an update. my second question what DVD are u trying to play i mean Blue Ray Or What , the latest version of media smart i have is version 3.1.1.12 from my HDX driver if still cannot try go to this website http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01990010&tmp_task=useCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&man_lang=ro&product=4124974

Please download the following package and save it to the Desktop. If you have MediaSmart installed you should install it again, right over the current installation. If you encounter errors, perform a fresh installation but only after you remove the application completely and clean all the registry keys using CCleaner. This version works fine with DVDs.
