Why does PS3 Gameshark request HTTP? Why will it not connect to database & ask for a upgrade key?

As far as I know, there is no Gameshark for PS3. For PS3 there is GameGenie as a replacement for GameShark. The GameShark worked for PlayStation 2 and 1. You can find more information about Game Genie using the following link: http://thegamegenie.com/

To have it installed on your console, you have to buy the USB pre-loaded flash drive.
