Yes, it can be unlocked. If you don't remember the password, pattern or the PIN number used to lock the device, I suggest you perform a factory reset. Firstly, turn off the device, and press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously. Once you see the Motorola logo, press the Volume keys and select Android Recovery. From the Android Recovery Mode select Wipe Data/Factory reset and restart the phone after the process is complete.
