How do I transfer files to new computer?

I have been using 7.5 for some years. I am building a new computer with Windows 7. How do I transfer saved data from the old computer to the new one?

Use the application's menus to export the data. First load the data, then use the menu of the application to locate Export function. "Save as" will also do the job then on the new computer, install the application again and import the data or simply copy the application from the old computer to the new one in the same location after you've installed it. This will ensure the functionality of the software remains the same.
