How can I factory reset my Tecno D3 device?

How can I factory reset my Tecno D3 device? I'm unable to insert the right PIN code.

related to an answer for: I tried multiple pattern unlock on my Tecno phone and got it locked. I don't think I have any Google account to unlock the phone. What is the next step?

Firstly, turn off your Tecno D3 device. After that, press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons until the Android logo appears and select Wipe data/Factory reset option using the volume keys. Press Power to confirm the process and restart the mobile.

Having the same problem but my volume keys are faulty. Could there be another way out?
