If the modem is not compatible with Windows 8 32bit, you might need to use a few tricks to get in installed. First, apply a compatibility setting to Windows XP or Windows 7 to the installer application. Right click it > Properties > Compatibility > Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Install the application then reboot the computer. Boot to desktop then press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager. Locate the device in the list, right click it and use Update Driver. Point the installation window to the folder in Program Files. It will be named according to your device's brand. Select the folder and install it. Windows might prevent the installation with a warning that the driver is not signed for this OS version. Ignore and continue the installation and you will have a working device in Windows 8 although is not supported.
