Blu-ray player question.

If I buy a Blu-ray player, will it have the same picture quality on any HDTV? And does anyone recommend a certain Blu-ray player to buy?

The quality of Blu-ray discs is the same, no matter where it's been connected. Your TV needs to be equipped with FULL HD /TRUE HD capability to deliver the best experiences regarding Blu-ray content.
