In order to use the Internet on you Xperia M using the PC Companion program, you first need to make several changes. Go to Settings > Connectivity > USB > Advanced > Internet Access > Via computer. Also, you will need to go to Settings > Connectivity > Internet and Streaming settings > Allow local connections > and make sure that you allow this. Once you made all the mentioned settings, you will be able to use Internet on you device.
