Screenshot sound in Xperia M.

Is it possible to turn off screenshot shutter sound in Sony Xperia M Dual, other than putting the phone in silent mode?

Hi,

The only option is to root your device and go into /system/media/audio/ui and start looking for the .ogg file for the sound. Just rename the file to xxxxxx.ogg.bak

Note: This will disable both camera shutter and screenshot sounds.

You need to download the sound associated with the operation, just like Addy 1 has explained. However, if you don't want to tamper the operating system, install Screenshot Ultimate and then configure it to disable sound while taking a screenshot.

Visit the application's page at Google Play to install the application. Log-in with the Google email attached to the phone in order to install it from web.
