In order to fix the problems, I recommend you remove the software from your computer (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) and run a registry cleaner to make sure that there are no leftover registry keys in your system. After that, reboot the PC and install the program again. Also, make sure that your security program and Windows Firewall are not affecting the connection.
