Connection error while using the modem

When I try using the modem, the following error message appears: "Connection error, please reinsert the modem and check the phone number". Why is this happening and is there a way to overcome this?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information on the Internet about this product or its developer. The product might be discontinued and the developer is out of business. If the speculations are true, this is the reason why you can't connect to the Internet anymore. Due to the fact that the developer is out of business, the connection servers might be down and the service is unaccessible. There is nothing that you can do in this matter.
