My answer is not directly. Here is my experience. I have used MoneyCounts since 1988, when it was DOS. I upgraded to the Windows version when it became available in the mid-1990's, I believe. I ran it directly on my desktop through Windows XP. When I went to Windows 7, I was using Windows 7 Pro, so was able to run MCW through a Virtual XP installation. When I went to Windows 10, my IT guy was having trouble with the Virtual XP installation, so installed VMware and ran MCW through that virtual platform. Shame on me. I was terrible about back-ups, so when the operating system portion went bad on my drive and had to replace it, I had a problem. I was able to keep all of the regular data, but lost the operating system, including the VMware virtual machine and all of the data within it. I had an Aspire Netbook with Windows 7 Starter that would run MCW, so after updating 3 years of checkbook entries, I am now running MCW on that machine through my Desktop monitor from a wireless mouse & keyboard! It may not be capable of being updated, but it is still a great program. Can't find anything like it.
