Can I use MP Navigator EX 3.1 to OCR a file?

I have a collection of text files - PDF and JPG that I would like to OCR. Since MP Navigator EX can perform OCR on documents it has scanned, I could print all these files and then re-scan them, but that is a waste of time, ink and paper. Is it possible to somehow access the OCR capability and apply it directly to existing files?

The Canon MP Navigator application doesn't allow you to OCR a file on your computer. If you want to take advantage of the OCR feature, you actually need to print them as OCR is done while the file will be scanned. If you want an application for this, then ABBYY FineReader is recommended as it can open images and other files from your computer. Download and install a trial version of the software then load the files.
