Scan the document then use the preview window to save the document to a location of choice. Alternatively, open Photoshop and go to Import > WIA Support. The Photoshop will detect the scanner and it will provide all the necessary tools to import the scanned image into its main window. This is the easiest way to import a file directly into Photoshop without the help of the official tools or other 3rd party tools.
