Press Alt + Ctrl + Delete key combination, open Task Manager and close all unnecessary applications. Also, make sure your security program and Windows Firewall doesn't block the program. If you still have issues, uninstall the application using Add or Remove Programs feature (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) and download and install the latest version of the software.
