The first thing to do is to check the Audio driver. Make sure that in the Device Management, everything works perfectly. After this procedure, access the sound configuration options in the Windows OS. You can do this through the Start > Control Panel. The cause to the missing audio is that you're using a wrong audio device from the list of the installed ones. Right click the speak icon in the system tray, then go to Recording devices and manually assign the correct one.
