This issue is not caused by your operating system. In order to fix it, I suggest you play the videos using another video player from Software Informer database. If there is still no sound, go to Start, type dxdiag and open the utility. Click the Sound tab, check your audio card model and download and install the latest drivers available from the developer's web page.
