This issue occurs either because the software is not installed properly or it is not compatible with your system. In order to fix the problem, check if your computer meets the minimum requirements to run the application:
- OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7;
- Processor: Pentium 733Mhz;
- Internal Memory: 512 MB RAM;
- Hard Disk: 15 GB free space.
If the requirements are fulfilled, uninstall the program using its uninstaller or Add or Remove Programs feature (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) and download and install the latest version of the utility from the official web page. Click Dell DataSafe Local below Dell Backup Solutions section, press the Download the Basic Version of DSL. Click here to download link, save the file to your computer and install the application.
