You do not need SI to do this (I do not). You can have your computer automatically check, obviously be connected to the internet when you do this. You also have to be an admin.
Start → Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Device Manager
1. I scan for hardware changed
2. Click on the items you want to check
4. Right click "Update driver Software...".
5. If one is there install.
----Note----
You do not have to do this a lot and for many things for example your DVD/CD will not update a lot, or your processors, or discs. Basically if you add something new, or use other devices like game pads, cameras, bluetoooth, etc. If you need more help let me know.
----other note----
Lots of software out there will auto scan, Google driver updater but because many costs and others are viruses or simply useless. What I would say is if you think something needs updated go to the man factors website for example Logitech, Toshiba, etc.
