In order to solve this issue, you need to download and install the drivers from the official web page. Identify your camera model, select your operating system if it is not automatically detected and click the Drivers & Software tab. Install the provided files and restart your computer. I suggest you also to reinstall the Canon software. If the problem is not solved, go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager, select Portable Device option and uninstall the Canon driver. After you reboot the PC and plug in the camera, go again to Device Manager, select Scan for hardware changes option and Windows will automatically install the device drivers.
