Adding Google Talk icon to the system tray.

How can I have Google Talk in the tray near the clock sign?

instead u can start it by a single button.go to start menu. right click on gtalk--properties--shortcut--shortcut key--initialize any key.

The Google Talk icon should automatically be added to the system tray after the installation process is completed. If you can't see it, right-click the taskbar, select Properties and click the Customize button below Notification area. After that, from the drop-down list next to Google Talk select Show icon and notifications:
