You can't open video files with WebcamMax because it is a webcam utility that allows you to add several effects to your webcam image and record videos. The videos recorded with this application can be opened using a tool from Software Informer database. Personally, I recommend you to use VLC media player, because is easy to use, free of charge and can open a large variety of video files.
