Go to Start, type dxdiag and open the utility. Press the Sound tab and identify your sound card model. After that, go to your sound card developer web page and download and install the latest drivers for your device. Also, in the Control Panel (classic view), double-click the Sound icon. In the Sound window, press the Recording tab, right-click on an empty area from the window and check the Show Disabled Devices option. Right-click on the disabled audio devices and choose Enable.
