Is Internet Explorer 6.0 the latest version that will run on Windows 2000?

IE6 SP1 is the last version of Internet Explorer available for Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows 2000. Although IE 8 is now the latest version of Internet Explorer, Microsoft still supports it in Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP3.

Yes, Internet Explorer 6.0 is the latest version of the browser that can run on Windows 2000. If you want, you can download and install it from Microsoft Download Center. Press the red Download button, save the file to your computer and install it following the on-screen instructions.
