FileZilla Client connection issues

I installed FileZilla Client about a month ago and I'm not yet able to make it connect. I get an error message saying that the command is tainted by router or firewall so I bypassed them and went directly to the modem and I received the same error. I also turned the Firewall off. Is there any other thing that needs to be done that I am not aware of? I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

Check with your DNS provider or Web Hosting provider the proper settings. Otherwise just access the ftp through IE or Mozilla.

Firewall settings is unimportant. Just chack your login pass. For the first chack, can you connect to ftp by Windows Explorer.

Firstly, in order to fix the problem, I recommend that you download and install the latest version of FileZilla Client from the official web page. After that, turn off Windows Firewall and add the program into the exceptions list of your security software. After that, you should be able to connect. If you have issues, try contacting the support team.
